Malaysia's esports scene has grown at a remarkable pace over recent years. Teams like Todak, RSG Malaysia and various national representatives on the international stage have put Malaysia firmly on the world map. This rising profile has fuelled growing interest in esports betting among Malaysian players — and taruhan77 is here to meet that demand.
Unlike other platforms, taruhan77 has a deep understanding of the local esports scene. We give dedicated coverage to domestic tournaments like MPL Malaysia and FFML alongside prestigious international events — meaning Malaysian players can bet on the teams and matches they actually follow and know well.
Taruhan77 offers more than just "who wins" betting. Here are all the market types available for e-sports matches.

Back your favourite Malaysian teams with taruhan77. Below are some of the local teams that regularly compete in tournaments listed on our platform.
If you're part of the Malaysian gaming community, you already know how far esports has come in this country. From school tournaments to world-class championships, Malaysian players and teams are now competing at the highest level and earning international recognition. Todak, for instance, has claimed the MPL Malaysia title multiple times and represented the nation in various global MLBB championships. This is no longer just a hobby — it's a legitimate sport with a dedicated fanbase and a multi-million MYR industry behind it.
This growth has also driven rising interest in esports betting. Many fans who follow matches closely want to turn their knowledge into an opportunity for extra earnings. That's exactly what taruhan77 offers — a complete, secure esports betting platform built specifically for Malaysian users.
There's no denying that MLBB is the most popular esports title in Malaysia. With a massive active player base and the MPL Malaysia championship broadcast live to hundreds of thousands of fans every season, MLBB has become a core part of local gaming culture. At taruhan77, MLBB markets are the most active and most sought-after among Malaysian users.
For MLBB betting, taruhan77 players can choose from a wide range of markets — from straightforward match winner bets to more detailed options like map handicap, over/under on total maps in a series, or who will draw first blood in a game. This variety of markets lets players who truly understand the game put their knowledge to better use.
DOTA 2 holds a special place in global e-sports — The International (TI) is the highest-prize-pool tournament in the world. Every year, e-sports fans across the globe anticipate TI with great excitement, and that includes the many Malaysian fans who follow their favourite teams closely. taruhan77 provides full coverage of The International and various international DOTA 2 leagues throughout the year.
What makes DOTA 2 betting at taruhan77 particularly interesting is the depth of available markets. Beyond the standard match winner, you can bet on which team scores the first Roshan kill, who destroys the first barracks, or handicaps based on the projected total maps. For players who truly understand DOTA 2 mechanics, these markets often offer better value than general match markets.
Esports betting differs from casino betting in one key way — knowledge and in-depth research can give you a genuine edge. Unlike slots or roulette, which rely entirely on luck, esports betting involves analysing team performance, player records, the current game meta, and other factors you can actually study.
For example, if you follow MPL Malaysia closely, you might know that Todak has a particularly strong record in Bo5 series compared to Bo3. Or you might be aware that a key RSG Malaysia player recently recovered from a finger injury. This kind of insight — not always reflected in opening odds — is what separates analytical bettors from those who rely purely on guesswork.
While MLBB and DOTA 2 dominate Malaysia's e-sports scene, FPS titles like CS2 and Valorant are far from an afterthought. The CS2 community in Malaysia stretches back to the Counter-Strike 1.6 era, and the generation that grew up with the CS franchise is now grown and actively betting at taruhan77. Valorant, launched by Riot Games in 2020, has expanded at a remarkable pace among younger Malaysian players.
The VCT (Valorant Champions Tour) Pacific is the only global esports league where Southeast Asian teams compete regularly at the highest international level. Teams like Paper Rex from Singapore are fan favourites among Malaysian supporters for their aggressive, entertaining playstyle. Matches on the VCT Pacific circuit at taruhan77 consistently draw strong interest, especially when SEA teams go up against Korean or European sides.
Free Fire has played a huge role in expanding the esports fan base in Malaysia, particularly among younger audiences and smartphone users. With lower hardware requirements compared to MLBB or DOTA 2, Free Fire has reached a much broader segment of players — including those in rural areas across Sabah, Sarawak, Kelantan, and other states.
FFML (Free Fire Malaysia League) is the domestic competition that has produced many local talents, while the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) gives Malaysian teams the chance to compete on the global stage. At taruhan77, Free Fire coverage spans both levels — giving Malaysian players the opportunity to back their favourite teams while potentially profiting from well-researched bets.
One of the most popular features among serious players at taruhan77 is live esports betting, or in-play betting. This means you can place bets while a match is already underway — with odds shifting in real time as the action unfolds. Picture yourself watching an MLBB match and your team just secured the Lord at the 15-minute mark — that's the perfect moment to back them, when the odds may still be favourable before everyone else catches on.
Live betting demands quick reactions and a deep understanding of in-game dynamics. At taruhan77, the platform is built for speed — you can place a bet within seconds from your smartphone, with no delays that might cause you to miss an opportunity. This feature is available across all major titles, including MLBB, DOTA 2, CS2, and Valorant.
The entire taruhan77 platform is optimised for mobile. Watch live esports streams and place bets at the same time — all from your smartphone, no app download needed. A 4G connection is more than sufficient.
